I am so excited to be your guide to festive events across the state! I love holiday activities, but trying to do everything can add up fast. I hope this helps you plan your weekends and partake in great events without breaking the bank. Every featured event will be $25 or less!

Thursday, December 8th & Friday, December 9th

Cheers! Wild Lights - Milwaukee County Zoo - $22

THIS EVENT IS 21+! Leave the kids at home and go enjoy the zoo lights on a date night. There will be entertainment, food, and adult beverages (additional fee for alcohol & parking in the zoo lot.) *More information on all ages Wild Lights nights is further down under “All December Long”.

Friday, December 9th

Festive Fridays - Seated Wine & Cocktail Tasting - Wollersheim Winery & Distillery - Prairie du Sac - $25

THIS EVENT IS 21+! Casual, seated tastings of some amazing wines as well as a special festive holiday cocktail all paired with some delicious snacks! I love Wollersheim, and it’s so beautiful covered in snow. I highly recommend booking these tickets in advance.


Saturday, December 10th

Jingle Paws - Wisconsin Community Veterinary Center - Madison - $15

DOG-FRIENDLY EVENT! Your entry fee includes one drink ticket and one door prize ticket. There’s so much to do–Get your pup’s photo taken with Santa Paws, decorate cookies, make a paw print ornament, and listen to some live music!


Saturday, December 10th

Ugly Sweater Party - Crazy Dog Mom - Stoughton - FREE

DOG-FRIENDLY EVENT! You and your pup can match in your best ugly sweaters. Free snacks for pups and people. Stroll the shop and enjoy holiday photo ops!

Saturday, December 10th & Sunday, December 11th

Home for the Holidays - Old World Wisconsin - Eagle - $19.99

Stroll through a decked out Crossroads Village and hear about festive WI stories and merry memories. I attended this event last year and had such a good time, so I’m so excited to be going back! Old World Wisconsin is remarkable at any time of year, but seeing it covered in snow and decorations really brings out some holiday magic! Last year I got to ride in a horse drawn carriage, get a bunch of new recipes, and learn about Wisconsin traditions. Can’t wait to see what this year has in store!


Saturday, December 10th & Sunday, December 11th

Holidays at Wade House - Wade House Historic Site - Greenbush - $15

The halls of Wade House's historic stagecoach hotel are decked out as you experience the wonder of a stagecoach era holiday. Enjoy treats fresh from the oven and enjoy the holiday season the way the Wade Family and their many guests used to. Hayden and I will be visiting on Saturday! See you there?!


Sunday, December 11th

Coca-Cola's Holiday Caravan - Wilderness Resort - Wisconsin Dells - FREE

Head out to Wilderness Resort to meet the big man himself! Coca-Cola’s massive Santa semi truck is on tour and stopping in Wisconsin Dells! Santa will have a throne, and there will be lots of lights and a tree display. Get your free photo with Santa, sample Coke products, and gather some freebees! Inside the resort there will be specials and food available for an additional cost.


THURSDAY NIGHTS

Devil's Head Thursday Night Special - Merrimac, WI - $18 Lift Tickets

Starting at 4pm, lift tickets are ONLY $18. Hit the slopes without breaking the bank! This special goes on every Thursday all ski season long. I recommend packing your own cooler with food and drinks to tailgate in the parking lot. It makes for such a fun night!


ALL DECEMBER LONG

Wild Lights - Milwaukee County Zoo - $18 Adults & $16 Kids

**There’s a promotion on Wednesdays- December 7th, 14th, and 21st it’s only $12 for all ages to attend!

I love the MKE zoo, and I’ve always wanted to check out the wild light show! Bundle up and stroll the zoo at night and take in the fabulous animal themed light show.


ALL DECEMBER LONG

Nutcracker in the Castle - The Paine Art Center - Oshkosh - Self Guided Tour $16

See the historic mansion decked out in christmas decor and watch the story of the nutcracker unfold as you move throughout the rooms. I visited The Paine back in April and it was absolutely beautiful– I can’t imagine how fun it must be to see them bring the story of The Nutcracker to life!

Rotary Lights - La Crosse - Free

DOG-FRIENDLY EVENT! This is one of the best holiday events I have ever been to! There’s a great ice rink with free skate rental, magical carriage rides, and free s'mores by the fire pits to warm your belly. Highly recommended with the family or on a date night. Hayden and I will be heading there for a date night soon!


ALL DECEMBER LONG

A holiday experience the whole family can enjoy! Each room is decked out, and no two Christmases are the same. They’ve got it all–from glitz and glam to train tracks and teddy bears around the trees.

Tree of Light - WI Dells - Free

DOG-FRIENDLY EVENT! A towering 55-foot silver maple tree showcases thousands of lights, making it the only light display of its kind in the Midwest. Stroll along the Dells River Walk and view 75 holiday trees while you take in the gorgeous views of the Wisconsin River.
